I'm a heavyweight, and the pad does tend to cushion me quite a bit. It makes sitting at a kitchen chair easier for me. That's what I wanted. But, because of my size (325#), I could use a thicker pad, maybe a little stiffer.The combo tie-on and non-skid surface works great. It prevents me from tearing ties out when I scoot a bit trying to get up. I'd buy these again in a heart beat. They're that good.If I was 50# lighter, I'd probably givbe them 5-stars across the board.
