Review on Tajima G-16BW Scale Measure: Standard Model by Daniel Ogbebor

Yes! After owning this tool for more than two years, I feel that it has greatly improved the quality of my work. Even if I'm kidding myself, it's safe to say that this has made me a happier handyman. Here's why: The build quality is excellent - significantly better than any other brand of tape measure I've used. The accuracy is incredible. The "inside" measurement (i.e. push all the way in) is exactly the same as the "outside" measurement (ie pull all the way in). This is not possible with all bands. Very good legibility thanks to high-quality black-on-white marking. This might be my favorite thing about this volume - it's easy on the eyes of the older generation. Excellent length. You can stretch the band about 7-8 feet without support before it sags. As good or even better than most other tapes of the same width. Excellent fall protection. The delicate "hook" end of the strap is protected by a rubber sleeve on three sides, so it's unlikely to move if you drop it. I've dropped mine multiple times and never needed the slightest adjustment to get it working. Of course, your mileage may vary. The best idea is never to drop it :-). Good belt clip. Not perfect, but better than most belts - I usually attach mine to a thick leather tool belt. It slipped when pressed, but only due to my inattention. Outstanding ergonomics. Fits comfortably in a medium sized hand, lots of grippy rubber pads. What's not to like? I just bought a second one as a gift and found the price has gone up. But it's hardly the manufacturer's fault. Maybe in two years I'll find something else that I don't like. But at the moment I can't think of anything negative. If you measure a lot, appreciate well-made tools, and don't mind spending a little more, consider this accurate, durable, and easy-to-read tape measure. .PS Thanks to all the nice people who took the time to review this feed, which gave me the confidence to try it out myself.
