Works great! I bought this to replace an old remote I installed in my fan many years ago. It was just a remote control add-on bought from Lowes or HomeDepot. The buttons on the old remote controls did not work. This new remote is great, I just replaced the relevant dip switches in this remote with what was installed in the old one and wala. It worked fine with the old receiver in the fan. All functions: 3 fan speeds, fan off, light (hold light button to dim) worked great. An added bonus is that this remote looks so much better on the wall! It's a bit smaller, looks slimmer, and has a little plug on the screw heads so they don't show after you've screwed it into the wall and pulled the remote from its mount. The black oval at the bottom of the remote (I didn't have a brand name, which is good) has a blue border that lights up when the button is pressed. In the attached picture you can see my old remote next to this new remote.
