Review on Dickies Trifold Chain Wallet: Stylish and Compact Size with Built-in Chain by Nick Howard

Not as good as my old

I bought this wallet to replace the chain wallet I've had for the past 17 years. The leather around the eyelet has finally started to fray on this wallet, but otherwise it's holding up. I have no doubt that this wallet will not last that long. "Skin" looks cheap. It's very thin and I'm not sure I even believe it's leather. The chain is too short compared to my old purse and very light but that's ok because I just reused that chain and clip. This wallet has many pockets, but they all barely fit standard sized cards. If, like me, you live in a state where you must carry a card to exercise your constitutional rights, and that card needs to be laminated because the state prints it on flimsy paper, then good luck making it fit. I managed to squeeze all my cards in, but it was a lot easier to fit them into three pockets of my old wallet than a million pockets of this one. Hope this gets expanded. I like that the interior is made of fabric. It's a little less bulky than the leather, but since they've added so many pockets, it's just as bulky overall as my old wallet. Oh and as other reviews have mentioned some pockets are useless as the buttons get in the way. In any case it is. works like a wallet if you don't have many membership/credit/other cards and as long as you're not looking for the last wallet you'll ever buy. I'll wear it for a few months and see how I feel afterwards. One final thought - I'm left handed and would love to see a wallet that doesn't leave holes in my back pocket where the pictures are when I carry it in my left pocket. All my pants have holes from my old wallet buttons. It has smaller buttons that probably won't fail before leaving holes in my pocket, but the metal Dickies logo will probably start punching holes in my pockets now.
