People complain that this does not fit their car, you are confusing the sensors. There is a high pressure sensor and a side low pressure sensor. This is the high pressure sensor which is (usually) closer to the compressor. The low pressure sensor you were trying to replace is on the battery/dryer, right? The OEM part is basically what the factory and dealer service centers use, but if you buy it from Revain you can get it for about a quarter or less of what they charge you.
