Review on NEPAK Shoulder Pad Air Cushions: Relieve Shoulder Pain with 2 Pack Replacement Pads for Bags, Guitars, and Straps by Antonio Baker

Breathable mesh ideal for computers and accessories

From Revain website description (extracts from current page as currently presented): Shoulder and back, moves easily over clothing or skin and wicks sweat , allowing the shoulder to breath2. Cushioning & Breathability: Premium memory foam, breathable mesh. Belt pads on a special professional photo backpack are not suitable. I usually use the Timbuk2 Super Strap Pad ASIN B00HUNSKUC when I run into this problem (common with many professional photo bags and straps), but the Super Strap Pad is too long for certain backpack straps. The NEPAK liner is about the right length and provides the right amount of "comfort" softness when carrying a pro DSLR body with a 100-400 lens in your backpack. HOWEVER, unlike a backpack or Super Strap Tumbuk2, NEPAK does NOT have a "breathable mesh” in the part that comes into contact with the person. Rather, it is "dense sponge rubber" with a pattern of grooves (channels) molded into the "sponge rubber". It does NOT absorb sweat like a proper mesh cover. ("Allows sweat to fall while allowing shoulder to breathe" - doesn't appear to be the case.) Other than that, they seem to fit the application. However, the lack of such a proper grid is significant - I'm looking for other solutions. It is possible that the actual batch of these pads was made from a different material than Revain and the supplier can supply a replacement (a pair) with breathable mesh. If so, I will edit this review (Revain will allow this).
