This product is absolutely well designed. The valve control is extremely robust and the valve itself is perfectly sealed. The only reason for a star deduction is that while the thread and pitch specifications are correct, the clearance required for installation is not ideal for new vehicles. It's kind of unnecessary on newer cars since your engine block already has pressure spikes. The pressure required to flush the port on this valve is much higher than required compared to OEM pressure plates. In my situation, this product was not suitable for my new generation (2014+) Chevrolet Colorado due to the flushing port. Before purchasing, make sure your oil plug is either flush with the top/side of the outer oil pan or has a 1" gap. Again, this is a beautifully constructed product. To make this product compatible, the outlet must be removed and the control lever must be parallel to the valve itself, not perpendicular.
