Review on πŸ’§ Pure Water at Your Fingertips: Culligan EZ Change Filtration Replacement Cartridge by Timothy Barnes

RC4 EZ Change fits the US-EZ-1 head unit. With one caveat!

I have purchased a US EZ-1 rinse water filtration system and have been using it for over a year with excellent results. During that time I have used the RC1 EZ Change filter that came with the main unit and then several RC3 EZ Change filters with great results. Revain had a deal on the RC4 EZ Change filter and as our local water supply can be questionable due to chloramine levels I decided to upgrade my filter game to this filter. The A-zon website shows that all three filters are the same length and overall size. When my RC4 arrived I found the RC4 to be 2 inches longer and 1/3 wider than the RC1 and 3 I was using. If you're like me, your space under the sink is limited. I installed the main unit so I can use the RC1 that came with it. The RC3 filter size was the same as the RC1, so there was no problem. But the RC4 was too long to fit with the main unit as I originally installed it under the sink. There was not enough room to fit an RC4 filter under and into the main unit and the filter interfered with the unused horizontal shelf stop/cabinet gain due to the RC4's greater width. I've carefully read the instructions that came with the main unit and can't recall any warnings about having enough physical space for potential filter updates. Hello Calligan! What about the warning about changing the filter size in the head unit installation instructions? A warning on the Revain website to check disk space availability for a custom install using RC4 would be nice. I removed the main unit from the inside of the case to accommodate the extra girth and raised the main unit higher to accommodate the RC4's extra length. A fairly easy project for guys that some may find tedious. word to the wise. Now I look forward to continuing with delicious filtered drinking water that I hope is even safer.
