I bought this anti-theft device. After installing it, I found that I had to charge the battery every two weeks, otherwise the battery would die when I was using it. This is with a brand new fully charged battery. It occurred to me that a thief who knew what he was doing would disconnect the battery after charging the device. The tracker has no backup, so if you disconnect the battery, tracking is not possible. The thief can then look for the tracker at his leisure and you will never know where your equipment went. It doesn't help much. Two months after I bought and installed the device, the device stopped working. Customer service was less helpful. You lied. They tried to dissuade me. I was accused of improper installation of the device even though it worked for two months. As a result, they agreed that the device is bad and will be replaced. It then took three weeks and more phone calls before they sent a replacement. The device works now, but it still drains the battery if I don't charge it weekly. I would not recommend this company. If you need anti-theft protection, I would recommend a tracker with some sort of battery backup.
