Review on 🎧 RM-530 Noise Isolation Earbuds: HiFi Earphones with Mic & Volume Control - Gold by Brandon Wellard

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The workmanship is a bit cheap, but the sound is good.

These Zeakko headphones sound pretty decent when they're firmly in your ears. There's plenty of bass, but it's not as loud as some cheap headphones. I would say the sound is on par with official Apple headphones but with more bass due to the rubber tips on the ear tips which seal in the ear much better than hard plastic Apple headphones. They come with medium sized tips, but large and small tips are also included. Medium is perfect for me. There are a few things I don't like. The main thing is that the rubber tips of the earphones are a bit hard and wrinkled. So when you put them in your ears and push them down to get a snug fit, they tend to make a popping/rustling noise. It's a little hard to describe, but it's an uncomfortable sound when it hits the ear directly. With headphones plugged in, this is not a problem. Only when you use them. Another thing I don't like is that the white rubber earbuds get dirty easily, either from earwax or just dirt that gets in when you're not using them. The last thing I don't like is that the cable is quite stiff so it keeps its shape when folded in the box. It doesn't hang nicely but instead maintains a zigzag shape. The printed user manual describes the insanely complex "burning" process, which is as follows: - Play high-quality music at 30% volume for 12 hours. .- Play at 60% volume for 12 hours.- Play at normal volume for 72 hours.- Play at 80% volume for 24 hours.- Headphones can work 90% better after following the above cauterization steps. I'm by no means an advanced audiophile, but I'm pretty sure any "burn-in" process for cheap headphones like these is absolute bullshit. I think the manufacturer just wants them to look more upscale and suggests you go through the above tires for "90% better" performance, whatever that means. I wouldn't waste time with that. A cheap leather carrying case is included, which is great for storing the headphones. For the price they are good. They're not high-end by any means, but they're a worthy replacement for Apple headphones if you like the looks.
