These shoes don't compare to the old versions of these shoes at all! I'm a serious runner, I've been wearing Asics Gel-Cumulus 18 for 5 years and I really like them. After switching to them, I started getting really bad pain in my knees about 3 miles into my run. Thought it was a knee injury, calmed down but endured for several weeks with no sign of improvement. Out of curiosity I went back to my old worn out Gel-Cumulus 18s and the pain in my knee went away immediately. these shoes are extremely flat, with significantly less padding. They also don't flex like the old models, as each step feels like I'm wasting all my energy stomping on the floor and grinding that precious cartridge in my lap. Now after a month of use I definitely cannot return them as they are not technically defective nor can I use them which is $100 down the drain for me. I highly recommend not using them for anyone who wants to use them for running. There are better options, and you should probably start your search at a shoe store.
