outperforms cotton towels in many ways!
I was pleasantly surprised to find these towels preferable to regular cotton bath towels. They absorb moisture well, shed very little when new, dry quickly between uses and never give off the musty odor that terry towels can develop. When storing, they take up very little space - four linen towels are placed instead of one cotton bath towel. The downside is that linen towels can only be washed in cold water and cannot be tumble dried. No problem for me as they dry overnight. And someone might not like the slightly rough surface of the towel.
