Pleasant smell. I break them open and put bath bombs in dissolving toys so my baby doesn't try to eat them and they do a good job of calming them down before bed. She enjoys seeing and interacting with the bubbling foam that comes out of the toy I put her in, so it absorbs fairly well and the smell is pleasantly transferred to her without being overpowering. My child has sensitive skin and doesn't react to it at all.
