Review on Kaytee 100079175 Chinchilla Hut Hideout by April Bailey

We got this for a hamster who may have a normal sized body but never knows he's surrounded by the longest and thickest fur full of down which makes him appear a lot bigger than he is . Thought he'd be more comfortable in a big hideout. This wooden hut goes well with one of our two animal trail huts, but it's just the old version that I bought on eBay, where most of the roof is locked in and opens up. We have tunnels that lead to another, newer Kaity cage that we could only fit a small wooden house in. The small wooden hamster house used to be our hamster's absolute favorite place, but now he prefers this larger one where he can collect as much litter as possible. how can he push it in to bury himself. He drags his food there and buries it for later. However when we first got it my very mature 9 year old in a teenage body picked it up in front of me and the wood cracked with little to no force but it's still good and useful. The top of the roof is not connected to anything and just sits on top of the walls. I'm sure if you want it to stay there forever you can just glue it to the tree, but that's fine with us. Our plump and funny fluffy hamster loves to climb on the roof when he wants to get our attention and it's adorable.
