Review on Cuckoo CMC-QSN501S Q5 Superior Multifunctional 5 Quarts, Black Multi-Pressure Cooker by Jamie Studebaker

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Mostly Accessible for Blind

I was waiting for a sale on this unit. Being blind, a hefty investment. I even got Easy Pay with my Chase Walmart card.I wanted a multi - cooker that was accessible to use. This is definitely accessible with the voice guide. Cuckoo failed in one big area with the voice guide. The unit doesn't speak temperature, or time when being set. Its not impossible to use, but you need to be able to calculate where you are when setting. Luckily, it saves your last setting you set.For blind customers. This is a sturdy device. Definitely built with safety in mind. Most important, no pressure needs to be set. Its automatic. The unit tells you when engaged and when it's safe to open. It also tells you when lock is engaged properly.Their are 8 buttons on the unit. They are slightly raised, but I still used bump dots. The Cook, and Cancel button are the only ones that have an actual tactile bump on them.I'm confident I will get much use with this cooker. If Cuckoo had the unit actually announce temperature, and time level. It would be a perfect addition to any blind cook. I'd give a 90% rating for accessibility.Update:After making a few dishes, I'm updating my rating to 5 from 4. While I was not happy about temp and heat level not having voice. I've managed to do ok. I just have to note my last meal setting, not being able to see the display.I've used the meat, brown, slow cook, and multi - cook settings. All meals came out wonderful.I feel safer. The unit doesn't get as hot on the outside as my Crock Pot. It also sits lower, not as tall. This is actually a safer thing for a blind cook. It also happens to make serving easier.
