And this is where it gets even weirder! To connect the screws in place! Support your back with your knee. Push the seat forward away from you. And yes, as long as the holes line up. Go ahead and fasten the screws! That's all! The most painless way! (At some point you may find that the backrest leans forward when not upright. One design flaw is the curved curvature of the base of the chair's backrest.) Otherwise a well-padded and comfortable chair at a good price.
