Handle is strong and heavy but 2 attachments (egg beater and mixer) are a little fragile. I don't expect it to last more than 1 year with regular use. Great for mixing eggs or a small amount of pancake batter, but it would be difficult to mix the whole cake mix with it. the whisk is too weak/brittle. You can't push it too hard. Pros: * Does the job when you don't need a stand or hand mixer. I've managed to beat eggs from time to time, make meringues and blend smoothies for a batch. It's ok for them. Cons: * $23 is a bit much for the quality. I'd say check out $Stores or thrift stores first if you're a once-a-week user. If it breaks, I never pay more than $10-15 for a replacement. * 2 speeds are pretty powerful, though. You have to keep the keys pressed while shuffling. My hands aren't very strong, so I have to position it so I can squeeze it with two thumbs. Since it's uncomfortable and the base is heavy, I'm not looking forward to using it. Sometimes I have to stop mid-mix because my hands hurt. It's not convenient to use at all. Overall it's fine for how much I use it, but buy a cheaper model locally, or spend a little more and upgrade to a model with a sturdy on/off switch. I think about it that much. When I move next year, I'll just throw it in the goodies bag. Be generous, 3* out of 5.
