Review on πŸ”΅ Vibrant and Versatile: HZST3D Matte Blue PLA Filament 1 for Precise 3D Printing by Eric Williamson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Adhesion problems, nice look, rather brittle

This filament required quite a bit of tweaking compared to other PLA filaments for the print settings to work properly. I suspect it has to do with some kind of haze-inducing additive. Adhesion was the biggest issue for both the printing platform and itself. It didn't flow as well as other PLAs, you had to increase the hot end temperature a bit and increase the extrusion multiplier a lot before it produced objects that didn't fall apart. Do some test prints to adjust the settings before using it to print anything large. Recommended for aesthetic or lightweight objects, avoid anything that requires structural strength.

Pros
  • Matte PLA saves post-processing time.
Cons
  • No Instructions
