Review on T Fal Nonstick Cookware Thermo Spot Indicator by Pogo Shakey

Forget the warranty

I gave this pan a star for its durability and warranty or no warranty. This is the second nonstick T-Fal pan, a 12.5 inch professional nonstick pan, that I have owned. I bought a second one because I liked the first one. I don't use metal utensils, I don't use a dishwasher, and I never use high heat. I use the pan on average eight times a month. I've had this pan for two years now. The pan appears to have developed a high center in about a year. Oil, eggs, everything goes into the pan. A pan placed on a flat surface will not wobble, indicating that the bottom is not deformed. I didn't like it, but I lived with a high pan center. Then some stains appeared on the pan, the non-stick coating peeled off, and the edges of the red dot in the center of the pan peeled off. Due to health reasons I stopped using the pan and turned to T-fal. T-fal said to read the warranty, send the pan in for assessment (no shipping label) and give me a phone number to call if needed. There were no requests for photos. The phone number went into the automatic record that"due to the virus no one will answer". I checked the shipping and sent the pan to Revain for an estimate of $20 versus $38 for a new pan. Bottom line, forget the warranty, it's not worth the paper it's printed on. Use the pan for a year or two and throw it away for safety reasons (peeling of the non-stick coating). I opted for a better pan.
