These shiny glue sticks work as intended. They seem shinier in stick form than in my project, so I had to go over the heart several times to get enough glitter. I also found it very difficult to distinguish pinks from reds unless they were placed side by side under bright lights. Otherwise, these glue sticks fit in my mini glue gun, feed the trigger properly, and glue items together with the correct fixation.
