I bought it because I've always wanted to try the mandolin but never dared to. This one looked well made and easy to use. And for less than $20, it wasn't a huge commitment. It arrived a few weeks ago and I've used it multiple times to make potato chips, sweet potato chips, zucchini chips and cucumber chips. It works so well and the fries bake up so delicious in the oven that we didn't use any utensils other than a smooth and ribbed fries cutter! This is a very well made article. The various sets of blades lock securely into the body of the tool itself when not in use and the guard/guide is also well made and easy to use, keeping you safe. The basket makes it very convenient to use, but when you're busy there are a series of notches in the body of the tool to allow you to place it securely over the rim of the bowl so you can cut a lot more than you can with it a normal floor attachment could. Overall I like it and I'm glad I bought it. It's quite well made and given how well their vacuum preservative works I wouldn't hesitate to try anything else from Muller in the future!
