ETA², well, maybe I'll talk soon. This new belt is lighter and thinner than the previous two I bought. This one will not carry the weight of a tool that others will do. This is very disappointing and I consider it an act of bad faith on the part of the manufacturer. It's worse than when people who make ice cream take some weight off the container and give it a false bottom to make it look the same size. At least the actual weight of the ice was written on the outside of the container. You won't know if the straps aren't the same until you use them. I thought I would be using these belts for years to come. time to find something else. ETA³, The buckle of the belt is not tight like the previous version of the same belt. What a complete disappointment! I consider this worse than "bait and switch" because in the past I've had two identical belts that were much better. If I could give less than one star I would. ETA, this strap has stopped sealing after 34 months of use 4 days a week. At $12, that's 35.3 cents a month. I am very satisfied with this standing time. When trimming the identical replacement, I found that a heat gun produced a much cleaner finish than a lighter. I knew this belt only came in one length but decided to give it a try as many of the reviews were positive. I used a dremel wheel hoping to cut and burn/cure the end at the same time. This method worked well, but I don't think it's any better than using scissors and a lighter. The belt loop should be placed on the belt after going through most of the loops, but it covers the cut end of the belt which makes it look nice. This belt is slightly stiffer than Cabela's Last Chance belt. It easily carries a pistol worn inside or outside the belt. I went for black and I really like the black buckle over the bare aluminum. The teeth on the buckle are quite grippy and make it difficult to close a little tighter, but that's not a big issue. The buckle's teeth won't let the strap loosen at all. I would and probably will buy another one.
