I chose this camera for my kids who were fighting for another digital camera for older kids which is very basic. Since my kids loved this camera so much, I just thought it would be a natural progression for them. In fact, this camera is so much better than the old one that it's amazing what can be built at such a low cost these days. . This camera shoots 8MP and 1080p, but it doesn't do very well in low light. However, it has a number of different faces and objects that can be placed directly on images, and it works quite well. My kids figured out how to use it and I didn't show them. The LCD screen is surprisingly bright and sharp, and actually has some really decent viewing angles considering who this camera is intended for. The kids just forgot their old one and are both using this new one. At least I can tell them that they "both have it" if they really want it, but the fact that they love this new thing so much also gives me the opportunity to help them teach the right sharing techniques!
