I don't know what's wrong with the switch but all 3 settings have stopped working. So I cut the wires and bypassed the switch, now I have a high speed fan that is still quiet and it cools the GPU heat pipe where I removed the broken fan that failed. This is not a direct replacement and I had to install it outside the case after changing the hot air exhaust port. Now I need to reverse the polarity to make the fan blow air. I'm disappointed that the switch failed but I still had to reverse the polarity by cutting the wires and I'm happy with the consistent top speed knowing I'm getting maximum cooling all the time. Sometimes you just have to do what you have to do to get as much life out of old gadgets as possible with those empty C19 bags.
