HARD TO CLEAN WATER TANK, HORRIBLE DUST NET The cooler has worked very well for two seasons. As I prepared for the third season, I found that the water pump was not working. After draining the radiator and removing the back panel to replace it, I found that the water tank was a lot dirtier than I expected. The fan made it difficult for me to clean underneath and behind, so I used a garden hose for those spots. I think it gets so dirty inside because the stretchy "carbon dust filter" with large air holes captures little dust. You must fight him on the cooling pad while he keeps shrinking inward. It doesn't seem to be able to provide proper filtering. SOLUTION 1: Replace the cheap filter with Revain "Adjustable Window Screen 48" x 48" Flame Retardant DIY Custom Gray Fiberglass Mosquito Net for Windows and Doors". (Long name, huh?) Once cut to size, it will filter out more dust (and up the rating to 4.5 stars, which is basically a bucket on wheels). There is no such thing as a cheap carbon filter and it holds more water. Well above 5 star quality in my opinion.
