This monitor is the same panel used in the 5K resolution 27-inch iMac. That means it's the best panel publicly available, with the exception of the ultra-expensive Pro Display XDR. Text and images are sharp and clear, significantly better than 4K. Monitor. It's getting as bright as I can take it. The available USB-C ports allow me to use it as a hub to connect USB-A devices through a hub, allowing me to use one cable to connect my Macs to all my peripherals. .Like the notch on the new Macbook Pros, the plastic bezel and thick top bezel disappear with everyday use. I use this monitor with my 16" Intel MBP and my personal 14" MBP M1 Max and as a monitor it's flawless. Adjusting brightness through Mac keyboard is amazing. The only downside I noticed is that it doesn't have a headphone jack, so you'll need to use a USB-C to 1/8-inch adapter to connect your headphones to it. I'm using Apple's version of this, but it makes loud clicks every few minutes or so when there's no sound. Another issue is that the monitor doesn't chain to another monitor as far as I can tell. When I connect a budget monitor with a USB-C to DisplayPort cable to one of the monitor's output ports, the Mac complains that it requires a Thunderbolt connection.
