This will NOT power a 180W Dell laptop. After three calls to Dell, I finally found out that they (and nobody else) make a dock that powers my G7 with a single Type-C Thunderbolt port . If you have two Type-C ports, you're spot on. I don't know, and depending on where you see/read Thunderbolt Type-C ports don't support power above 100/130W. On a laptop that uses 180 with only one Type-C Thunderbolt port (like mine ), you still need a second power supply plugged directly into the laptop. Give it 4 stars because the dock itself works well and does what it says on the tin. I just wish Dell wouldn't fool some of us G7 owners.
