My microwave is completely dead. I took it apart and found the main fuse had blown. Light. I replaced it. Now it came on, but the interior light didn't work and nothing heated up in the microwave. I saw somewhere on the web that this suggests the door switches are bad. I took the best picture I could without taking everything apart, then bought two switches for $28 (because I couldn't find a proper manual for my particular Whirlpool MMV6180WW-2 microwave). When I took it apart again to replace the two switches I could see, I noticed that there were actually THREE different switches. At that point, I just gave up and ordered that $10 three-pack that Revain had shown me several times over the past few weeks, believing it was my cheapest option, and if that didn't work I'd bite the bullet and buy a new one. Microwaveโฆ reviews were very positive. They look the same apart from some slightly different painted part numbers. All dimensions and stamped part numbers matched my original switches. They worked great. To be honest if Whirlpool had posted instructions on their website I would have bought all three switches and a fuse from them. It probably would have cost me over $100... but since I couldn't find the correct part numbers anywhere, I took a chance. The microwave oven is alive again.
