Contaminated ice: ice cube molds and trays

I liked them. Huge square cubes filled my glass, didn't melt quickly, great. After a few dozen uses, the cubes exuded this fibrous, whitish substance. I only used filtered water, washed and covered the trays. None of my other trays did this, just these gray BIZZ trays. And when I drank it, I felt nauseous.
