I use this in my home office on one of the windows to block the midday sun which is very bright and hot. It's not a full blackout curtain, but it blocks about 95% of the sun and heat, keeping the room fairly dark and cool even in the brightest hours. It is made from a very dense polyester fabric that is quite thick but not as heavy as curtains. Comes with two panels and the one I received is 52" wide and 63" long for each panel. I only had to use one panel since the window I'm using it in is only 36 inches wide. Opening the curtains is also very easy as they are fitted with fairly large grommets that slide easily over the curtain rod. The photos were taken at 2pm when this window experiences maximum brightness and heat and as you can see it works very well. The price is also very reasonable and much cheaper than a similar curtain I bought in a store many years ago.
