I purchased this item a few years ago and was pleased with how it worked. So when I needed a new one, I didn't hesitate to take it albeit an updated model. I read the reviews and although I was a bit apprehensive I bought it based on my past experience. It was an expensive mistake. The block worked fine for 4 days, then it stopped cooling at more than 2 degrees no matter what settings I set it to. The room is a medium-sized bedroom, all windows and doors are closed, the room temperature with the device on is 72 degrees, the temperature of the devices is set at 62 degrees. After 10 or even 12 hours, the temperature in the room does not drop below 70 degrees. The device does not even cool a medium-sized bedroom under optimal conditions. This item is a complete and very expensive waste of money.
