I confess that I was a bit hesitant to buy this router based on the reviews on this site. I'm in a situation where I can't connect to cable or DSL internet in my area, so I had to use a Verizon Wireless Air Card and a router or satellite. I chose Verizon because of the lower initial cost. Constantly using USB tethering from computer to computer was becoming a problem, so I started looking for a router and found the Kyocera KR1. Setup is as simple as plugging in an Air Card, turning on the router, and entering settings. Menu to enable encryption. I got up and ran in 5 minutes! It works like any other wireless network and saved me from having to run Verizon's network login software. Note. Verizon's new plans limit you to 5GB of data per month and are no longer unlimited. My plan is a bit older and I have about 2 more years of unlimited, but since this setup keeps your Air Card 'online' 24/7, it could potentially exceed your 5GB limit and cost you a lot of money. I like Verizon's service but I think they are a bit overpriced and love to kill you. I wish AT&T offered the same level of service (votes) as Verizon because if they did, I'd be switching in no time. And before anyone blames me for my AT&T comment, I tried my area and they actually drop more calls and sound choppy compared to Verizon, so my claim is justified.
