Criminal Evidence - Informational

When I was studying at Carlow University in the Master of Fraud and Forensics program, this book opened my eyes to the importance of understanding the criminal process. This book also made me aware of the importance of the practices discussed, which can and will inform all future investigations I undertake. Gardner and Anderson did a great job introducing the basic concepts of using evidence in criminal proceedings. They also illustrate the best and most legal ways to collect, preserve and present evidence in a criminal proceeding. Using real life examples and cases helped keep the concepts simple and clear. Not to mention that this book didn't hold back from discussing all sorts of evidence such as wiretaps, rumours, child witnesses, compositions and fingerprints to name a few. In addition, the arrangement of the chapters was easy to understand during the criminal and investigative proceedings. I now have a much clearer understanding of acceptable methods of examining, collecting, processing, and presenting evidence for the best possible outcome of a study. However, the only downside to this book is that some information can become boring.
