At the beginning of the school year we bought our girl (11 years old) more expensive jazz shoes. The problem is that since the beginning of the year her foot has grown about four sizes now, and it was only about a month before the dance that she started complaining about it. I didn't want to pay full price for jazz shoes to wear for just a month, but she needed something appropriate for next week's show. I was also concerned that her leg would grow back between the end of this dance school year and the next (dance) school year, so we just wanted something cheap to get her through. When she first put them on, the edges started to curl up. I told her they're only there to help her get through the gig, so deal with it. As for size, in one year it has grown from 5 to 9 in shoes. At school she tried on someone else's jazz shoes 8.5 (different brand) and they were tight so she thought 9.5 would be better. We bought a 9.5 (her shoe size is now a 9) and they are a bit big but they stay that way. I think it probably corresponds to your actual shoe size.
