I've had several Android TV boxes in the past but surprisingly this RK3318 has a very stable wifi signal compared to other boxes I've had before. So far I haven't had any crashes when streaming 1080p movies. The RK3318 delivers a very good picture quality via the HDMI input (HDMI cable included). 4GB of RAM makes it super fast and 32GB of storage gives me enough room to download my favorite apps. Android 9.0, Kodi, Netflix, YouTube and many other useful applications were pre-installed on the box. Setup was very easy and it only took me 10-15 minutes to sign into my Google account and connect to my home network via Wi-Fi. Using ethernet is always faster, but the box has very stable WiFi, so I can use it without pulling on network cables. The box also has USB 2.0 and Fast USB 3.0 ports so I can connect a wireless mouse, keyboard and other wireless devices or external wired storage. The box can be connected to both 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz WiFi. Bluetooth BT 4.1 makes it easy to connect external Bluetooth devices. I should mention that the TV box comes with a mini backlit keyboard that uses two AAA batteries. Using the keyboard makes it much easier to surf the web and type. Some websites cannot be navigated without a keyboard, so having one is a nice feature. The remote control has a mouse mode and can be programmed to control some of the TV's functions, e.g. B. Power On/Off, Sound +/-, Menu, Input Control, and you can choose which function you want to control. Basically you have a power button and four additional buttons for the TV. I use it for power and audio control which is mostly used. The set-top box can be set to turn off the TV when the set-top box is off or in sleep mode. I could also change the power button mode from Sleep (default) to Full Power Off. I like the sleep mode because pressing the power button takes me back to the screen I was using before I put the console to sleep. I have had an overall positive experience with this Android TV box and will definitely consider buying it again.
