Review on 🏕️ OneTigris Bulwark Camping Tarp: Waterproof Bushcraft Shelter, Lightweight Hammock Rain Fly Portable Anti UV - 12.8ft x 9.5ft by Samuel Bowen

I trusted that this was ready to set up out of the package, glad I had paracord with me.

I thought this tarp had everything it needed to be set up straight from the package… I was wrong. It had the guidelines and stakes but for some reason I thought it would have a line to hang the entire tarp up between poles/trees/etc… nope. First night I rigged up the guidelines and thought man this is really much more difficult than it should be… the second night I found my stash of paracord and got it set up much faster and easier by setting a hanging line and setting the guidelines so nothing had to be strung and unstrung just to utilize it. Complaints are it’s pretty stressful for a blonde to set up… and it definitely sweats… both mornings I had condensation lining the walls and it was a cold wake up with the cool water running across my back as I’m trying to wrestle my hammock and gear.Definitely lightweight, easy to pack up and carry, not so easy to dry out… hard on those early morning pack ups and all days trips to set up in the evening when it’s still got the morning dew stuck in it . It held up to my rough handling and quick temper tantrums… so fairly durable… once I got it figured out it definitely was a great value for the money seeing as it actually covered my hammock from end to end and still had plenty of space. Now, I didn’t get to try it in any storms not sure I’d have wanted to since the ground I was staking into wasn’t that great for holding the lines as it was… but with better ground I’m sure it would have been great. All in all great little tarp… just make sure to pack some extra line to hang it up from and definitely get it out BEFORE setting out on your trip… don’t be dumb and think oh it’s just a tarp… how hard can it be? It can be ridiculously hard. But once you get the kinks out it’s pretty easy. But you don’t want to be caught in a rainstorm trying to figure it out. I thankfully had good weather while I was fumbling around for an hour just on the tarp.

Pros
  • I love it. Would buy again.
Cons
  • May not provide adequate protection from the sun
