I'm a newbie learning to knit again. These needles are perfect, they make learning easier. I ordered a pack of plastic needles and a knitting book, resulting in complete disappointment. Then I ordered these - what a difference! I love the feel of smooth wood and I love the sound of them clinking. Yarn stays where I put it much better than slippery plastic needles - no comparison. If you're learning or unlearning like me, buy these needles. Size 15 is big enough to really see how the stitches fit together. I also ordered Nicky Beeson-McNally's DVD, The Complete Beginner's Guide to Knitting, which I HIGHLY recommend. Today I saw it for the first time and I'm knitting like crazy! I bought it mainly to learn the purl, which I couldn't get from a book or any of the videos I've seen on YouTube. Now that I know a lot more, I order these needles in smaller and larger sizes. I've put quite a few of these on my wish list.
