Review on High-Quality CURT 56027 Custom 4-Pin Trailer Wiring Harness for Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Malibu & Traverse by Cory Jacobson

This harness works perfectly on my 2012 Malibu. Hooking it up to the brake lights was incredibly easy and the connections were tight. Good quality wires. The rest of the setup wasn't cheap. The reason I am not giving this product a 5/5 is that it was not intended to install as advertised. All the installation guides and videos I've seen online indicated that the installation should be done with the plug stowed in the trunk. Even product support told me it installs that way and I had to convince them otherwise until they sent me an alternative installation video. It is NOT installed that way. The only way this wiring harness would fit was with the alternative setup which was emailed to me, which meant the wires were routed through the machine from underneath and secured to the hitch with zip ties. This means that the plug should be stowed under the car in bad weather. I had to wrap the tail around the female part of the hitch and secure it with a pinion hitch. Unfortunately I bought it because I wanted it to be kept out of the weather so it wasn't ideal.
