Belson has allowed its Chinese manufacturer to use the cheapest plastic in these combs. As a result, a fine-toothed comb cannot withstand the heat of a 1600W hair dryer. The teeth warp and then fall out at a point on each crest. There are plastics that can take twice as much heat, but that adds 0.00002 cents to the cost. Instead, they use plastic that can take half the heat. I bought a few a year until I finally gave up and bought a better quality dryer.
