I tested it under tough conditions. My home network! Most of it is on a shelf in the garage. And this garage is dusty. This is the main reason why the network is so unreliable! A recent reorganization left fiber optic lines and outlets exposed to coarse dust. (I know it's not good, but it's the perfect situation for testing products under more exaggerated conditions than you'll (usually) see in the field). I started with an air tank. It helped a little, but it was still messy. The pen came out. Worked great. A quick swipe of the pen and it looked like new. A quick wipe of the pen to clean the tip and on to the next dirty part. And there was a noticeable increase in speed on the fiber lines.
