Holds curls very well. I wash my hair at night, dress and comb it, and then sleep with a towel on my pillow. When I wake up (I have wavy/curly hair that's a few inches below my collarbone) my hair is almost completely dry. My curls hold up well. When I decide to use hot curlers (to get naturally curly hair full of looser, larger curls) it works GREAT. These big curls (Farrah Fawcett style curls I think) look amazing and last 2 days before I have to wash them again. HOWEVER - it's really strong. My hair definitely feels less soft. Bottom line, though, it's worth it.
