Fits well in my Brita jug; the water around it does not seep into the lower (filtered) reservoir, but slowly. Brita brand filters slow down when you use them. I like it because I know they remove the smallest particles from the water. I have replaced them every 2 months and up to this point they have lasted 3 or 4 times longer than when new. These filters start working twice as long as the Brita brands, but after 2 months it doesn't last long. I still replace them, but I'll be paying more for Brita brand filters again. My nose and taste buds aren't that picky. I have not felt any difference between using these and the Brita brand, neither when they were new nor after 2 months.
