Sizing Discrepancy best in my review

The quality is good. My complaint is with the size. First, I ordered this product in a size L. It measures 54" at the bust, which is a bit big on me. I kept it and used it for pajamas. I have this brand sherpa sweatshirt in both L and M. In that style, the L is 50.5" at the bust and the M is 48". The M fits me perfectly and the L is acceptable. I ordered this sweatshirt in a size M. I wish I had measured it before I returned it, but suffice it to say, it was far smaller than the 48" sherpa M. It is understandable that sizing may vary a bit from style to style, but how could there be more than 6 inches difference between the M and L of the same style?
