If you need heavy shorts these are not for you. However, they are PERFECT for my 3 year old. She wears them under dresses and in her age without worrying too much about the fact that her underwear is a bit see through but so are the dress covers. It's easy for her to put the material on when she goes to the bathroom, unlike other shorts that are too stiff for her to maneuver on her own. This material is also very soft and flexible, making it great as summer sleepover shorts. Bought more since they work for us.
