Somehow I became one of "those people" when it comes to shoes. I've always been a bit stingy, but then I bought myself some nice shoes and never came back. This has expanded to investing in a good pair or two of shoes for my kids every time they need a new size, rather than buying lots of cheap ones that don't fit well or fall apart. This is my son's third pair of Merrells. Those are the only shoes he likes to wear. He's in first grade and wears them every day. They look good with everything and are even suitable for the treadmill during breaks and participation in physical education classes. They are the last, the last, the last. He wears them until he outgrows them because they don't wear out. Spend your money, buy your kid good shoes. It's good to have happy feet!
