I, as the owner of the operator, simply bypassed all states with snow. However, this is the only "tool" I was missing and thought it would be nice to get one. Another reason I waited is I didn't ask here how much space they would take up as I already have a lot of stuff in my trailer. To my surprise they are very light, they fold and store like towels. Haven't used them and probably never will, at least I have them now and they look like a quality product. UPDATE Well this is my first time using them and they definitely work and I was very skeptical. I know they work as I got stuck in snow storms in Texas where roads weren't treated at all and after getting stuck and coming out of a patch of ice on the road I dropped these which took about five minutes and the person I rode. I drove over stretches of road no other car dared to drive and I drove straight as if I had an SUV. I would highly recommend them and now that I know they work I can get another set to cover all my drive tires.
