Very strong, with ventilation clip. Sturdy, holds the phone well in my Toyota Rav 4. Bought 2, will be buying another for a friend's Cadillac. Some vehicles have narrower vents and the vent clip may not fit. It is also possible that the suction cup has no attachment option. I sawed off the front of the vent clip 1/8" from the top and bottom with a file or grinder. This allowed the clamping mechanism to properly seat on the vent flap and clamp it completely.
