Opened to test. Put batteries on one. Light came on. Great. Happy. Went to test the second one, and having only one set of batteries, I went to pull the batteries our of the one I just tested to use them. In the <30 seconds that the light had been on, one battery had gotten too hot to touch- almost singed my finger popping it out. The plastic label on the battery was already melting. Needless to say, I'm not even testing the others, and these are getting returned as defective.
