Old technology, may result in negative reviews. Should come with simple instructions but no. I used Ronsonol lighter fluid, any brand of lighter fluid will do. Fill from the bottom, put the lid back on and let it soak for a minute, run the match flat side down. Should work fine, works for me. Happy with the product.
