My desk is rectangular with a metal frame around the edges and a glass top over the frame. The edge of the frame is narrow so I bought these panels for extra security. The top plate covers the glass surface well. I use a dual lever mount with a C-clamp at one point around the panels and holds two monitors (32" and 24") mounted vertically. Everything is stable and reliable. I would recommend them for any glass table. I wish the panels were a lot thicker - these panels are thin and will deform under load. But they can spread the pressure to some extent and do their job. A good product for those of us who don't have spare metal sticks or hardwood blocks.
